Wolfburn is the most Northerly distillery on the Scottish mainland. Originally founded in 1821, all of Wolfburn’s Single Malt whiskies are made the traditional way: without haste, by hand, and with a huge emphasis on quality. The results are superb, and Wolfburn’s special releases are consistent winners of international spirits competitions.
Wolfburn’s smooth and easy-drinking character stems from the way it is made. Long fermentation is followed by slow and gentle distillation to makes a pure, smooth spirit. Maturation takes place in purpose-built warehouses just a short distance from the sea.

This limited-release bottling has been created to get the festive season off to a cracking start. Crafted from Wolfburn’s signature smooth, sweet spirit, matured for a shade over eight years, it is the product of a marriage of two types of cask: Oloroso Sherry hogsheads and first-fill Bourbon barrels. ‘Tis the season to be merry – we hope you enjoy drinking it as much as we enjoyed producing it.

ON THE NOSE
Sweet Sherry notes mix with hints of dried fruit. Aromas of vanilla follow, and there’s just a hint of coffee and dark chocolate.
ON THE PALATE
Juicy and mouthwatering. Rich toffee and syrup flavors lead the way, with overtones of cocoa and vanilla. Fruity sweetness coats the palate, with Autumn fruit and honey notes leading to a warm, soft finish.
FINISH
Vanilla notes gently fade away with a lovely trace of caramel at the end.

This 10-year-old Single Malt marks a significant milestone in the history of the distillery: it is our first ever age-statement release. Crafted from spirit fully matured in hand-selected second-fill Oloroso Sherry butts, a full decade in Spanish Sherry Oak has resulted in a delightfully sweet and sumptuous whisky – a fitting testament to the skill, dedication and patience of Wolfburn’s master distillers.
ON THE NOSE
Soft Sherry sweetness melds with figs and raisins. There’s a lovely hint of vanilla and Oak present too.
ON THE PALATE
The depth of flavor is tremendous. Bold chocolate and dark fruit flavors abound, with overtones of caramel and vanilla, all accompanied by gentle hints of nutmeg and Oak smoke.
FINISH
Silky tannins make for a beautifully textured finish; there’s a residual sweetness with dried fruit and caramel flavors lingering to the very end.
Northland
The smooth and warming flavors present in Northland come from the unhurried way in which the spirit is made, and from the maturation, which takes place in ex-Islay American Oak quarter casks. Matured and bottled on site, Northland represents the first chapter in the history of Wolfburn.

Initially sweet with notes of fruit and fresh sea air.In the background you’ll find citrus freshness and hints of cereal, and just a trace of peat smoke.
ON THE PALATE
Sweet, nutty tones come to the fore, with hints of grapes and honey in the background. Floral flavors abound, enhanced with just a hint of dried fruit and spice.
FINISH
Soft sweet tones fade gradually away, overlaid with a just a trace of gentle peat smoke at the very end.

Aurora
This beautiful sherried whisky is made from unpeated spirit laid down in a combination of 2/3 1st and 2nd Fill Bourbon and 1/3 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry casks. Benefiting from long fermentation and slow, gentle distillation, the spirit is laid down on-site in our purpose-built warehouses. At the end of the maturation process, the casks are brought together to create an exceptionally smooth and perfectly balanced dram.
In the 700 ml bottle the recipe changes slightly and unpeated spirit laid down in a 50/50 combination of 1st and 2nd Fill Bourbon and 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry casks.
Bottled at 46% abv.
Sherry sweetness is followed by aromas of freshly cut grass and Autumn fruits; with just a hint of coffee and dark chocolate.
ON THE PALATE
Floral tones come to the fore, with overtones of spice and vanilla. Fruity sweetness coats the palate, with fruit and nut flavors leading to a warm, soft finish.
FINISH
The finish lingers gently; Sherry tones are present to the very end. Beautiful.

Morven
This lightly peated whisky is ex-Bourbon barrel (approx. 200L capacity) matured filled with lightly peated (10ppm) spirit. It’s made from malted barley infused with smoke during the drying process.It’s a reflection of history – the original 19th Century distillery was largely fired by peat. Gentle distillation is followed by maturation in our purpose-built warehouses. The result is a beautifully smooth and rounded whisky.

Initially smoky with hints of fruit and fresh sea air, accompanied by vanilla and Oak wood-shavings.
ON THE PALATE
Floral notes abound, followed by raisins and light spices. Malty flavors open up on the palate, with soft honey sweetness at the finish.

Soft peaty tones ensure a smooth and lingering finish. Hugely enjoyable.

Langskip
Langskip is crafted from unpeated spirit, matured for up to seven years in first-fill Bourbon barrels. Wolfburn’s trademark soft, sweet spirit shows off all its wonderful depth, being bottled at an undiminished 58%. Remarkably, despite its strength, the spirit shows no sign of excess heat but instead allows the drinker to experience a beautiful panoply of flavors.

Aromas of fruit blossom meld with dried apples and light Oak. In the background you’ll find traces of raisins and dates mixed with rich fruit cake.
ON THE PALATE
Flavors burst onto the palate, rich and sweet, including maple syrup, dark chocolate, almonds, and raisins. The finish lingers nicely – hints of vanilla gently fade away with a warming trace of caramel at the end.

Small Batch 458
The seventh small-batch release from Wolfburn, Batch 458 has been crafted from a 50/50 combination of whisky matured for seven years in first-fill Pedro Ximénez Sherry butts, married with lightly-peated spirit matured in first-fill Bourbon barrels. These casks produced just 5,100 bottles in total and the result is a rich, sweet single malt with a truly exceptional depth of flavor.
ON THE NOSE
Treacle and coffee notes lead the way, accompanied by subtle tones of cherry and dried spice. A heady aroma, full of promise.
ON THE PALATE
Hazelnut, almonds and cloves are all present, wonderfully overlaid with soft peat smoke. The tannins are subtle, allowing the palate to develop beautifully. Give it time and the full extent of the flavors will reveal themselves.
FINISH
Treacle sweetness remains present until the end accompanied by hints of spice. A trace of peat smoke continues to lingers when all else is gone.

Bottled at 46% abv.
On the nose, figs and apricots mix with soft tones of peat smoke. There’s a hint of vanilla and Oak present too.
ON THE PALATE
On the palate the depth of flavor is tremendous. Honey-laced porridge meets stewed apples and sultanas. The peat brings with it a touch of heat, while soft Oak spices – cinnamon, cloves, and ginger are also present; all overlaid by a wonderful Sherry sweetness.
FINISH
The finish does not disappoint; dried fruit and caramel flavors remain to the end and are neatly overlaid with hints of lingering peat smoke.

Oloroso Sherry sweetness is accompanied by heather honey, dried fruit, and malt with soft overtones of golden syrup and butterscotch.
ON THE PALATE
Like a mouthful of Christmas cake: raisins, dates, and Sherry tones are all present. Dark chocolate and hazelnut lead to vanilla, ginger, and soft spices.
FINISH
Sweet caramel is accompanied by delicate floral notes, which fade to leave lingering tones of honey and melon.
