In 2022 Penderyn launched its first ever Small Batch offering as a US Exclusive. Our President, Sam Filmus, worked on this concept with the distillery in 2021.
Each batch is expertly crafted by Aista Phillips, Penderyn’s Master Blender.
This very first US Small Batch Limited Release of 1,210 bottles is comprised of Single Malt from 25% Ruby Port, 25% STR, 25% ex-Bourbon, and 25% Carcavelos fortified Portuguese wine casks at least four years old.
It is 75% double-distilled and 25% Faraday distilled, bottled at 50% abv.
Nose: Apples and pears with a creaminess incorporating caramel and raisins.
Taste: Vanilla and honey sweetness with orchard fruits, marmalade, and lights notes of oaky spice.
Finish: A toasted wood dryness with peppery spices.
